Candies was a famous Japanese idol group formed in 1973. Candies was composed of three girls: Ran Ito (伊藤蘭) called Ran, Yoshiko Tanaka (田中好子) called Sue and Miki Fujimura (藤村美樹) called Miki. They had overwhelming popularity among young Japanese people. Unfortunately, Sue died from breast cancer in April 2011. (Wikipedia)

Cycling road next to the Arakawa River in Saitama
These are cherry blossoms in Saitama. There is a beautiful cycling road in Saitamai-shi Sakura-ku. You can follow the Arakawa river, or the other small small river next to it, just until the Saiko lake (彩湖) in Toda. Especially in the spring or autumn it's marvelous.

My gate to Japan
Hello everybody,
following the blogs of a lot of people, I just decided to begin a new blog myself.
I wrote one while living in Japan 1 year ago, but it was in Dutch and just to update my friends and family about my life in the far east.
But now I wanted to start a blog again, to post some pics of nice places I've been to in Japan and to share Japanese music, from now as well as from long ago. Just songs that I used to sing in karaoke, heard people sing in karaoke, etc...
